A new partnership between the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) and the German-African Business Association has been sealed to strengthen trade, industrial innovation, and knowledge exchange between Ghana and Germany.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed on Monday, November 3, 2025, during the Ghana–German Business Roundtable session held at the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) in Accra.
The event was attended by a high-level German business delegation and Ghanaian officials, with the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, leading the Ghanaian side.
The partnership seeks to promote bilateral trade and investment opportunities, foster collaboration in innovation and technology, and encourage sustainable industrial growth in both countries.
Representatives from both associations emphasized that the MOU will pave the way for practical engagements and joint initiatives to support industries.
Speaking after the signing, a representative from the German-African Business Association described the partnership as “a direct collaboration to promote innovation, knowledge sharing, and group activities between the two sides.”
He added that the partnership builds on existing cooperation, citing the presence of an EU-funded German company already housed at the AGI offices in Accra, which is currently supporting local industries with solar energy solutions.
The Ghana–German Business Roundtable created a platform for both sides to discuss trade opportunities, share experiences, and explore areas of mutual benefit toward strengthening Ghana–Germany economic relations.
