Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has made an emotional appeal for financial support as she undergoes treatment for an undisclosed medical condition that has kept her in hospital for the past three weeks.
The 62-year-old actress revealed in a video shared on Instagram on Thursday that she is facing three surgeries and needs N30 million to cover the medical expenses.
Addressing her fans, family and well-wishers, Nwosu explained that her health challenges have worsened beyond what she can manage on her own.
“My people, my fans and my family. I know that you have not seen me in circulation for some time. I have been hospitalised for three weeks,” she said.
“Please, the thing has gone beyond my control. I need your help. Don’t let me die. I know that you people never forsake me and I know that God will always see me through, but I’m begging you, my fans and family, don’t let me die.”
The actress also said she has been enduring severe pain and appealed to members of the public who are able to assist to reach out to her management team, whose contact details were provided in the video.
“I am going through a lot, as in pains. I have like three surgeries to go through. Please, don’t let me die. If there is anything you want to do for me, please contact my management. They would be there for you. God bless you,” according to her.
Nwosu’s appeal has since drawn attention from fans and colleagues in the Nigerian entertainment industry, with many expressing concern over her condition and offering prayers for her recovery.
