President Donald Trump says the US will not pay Iran $300 billion, contrary to multiple media reports.
Trump in a Truth Social post on Thursday, dismissed reports of a $300 billion payout to Iran by the US and its allies in the Middle East as “fake news.”
He wrote: “There is no 300 billion dollar payment to Iran by the U.S. That’s fake news!”
Commenting on the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United States and Iran, Trump says “All there is for the U.S. is success, lower oil prices, and victory. Check out the stock market. Dumocrat propaganda at play!!!”.
