John Dumelo Mourns Beverly Afaglo Baah: “Your Name Will Fill Pages In My Book”

Ghanaian actor and politician John Dumelo has paid an emotional tribute to late actress Beverly Afaglo Baah following news of her passing two days ago.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, Dumelo reflected on how Beverly played a major role in shaping his acting career, recounting how they first met nearly two decades ago on the set of the popular television series About to Wed.

“About 20 years ago I walked into the set of ‘About to Wed’ in Dzorwulu.

That’s when I met Beverly Afaglo, Prince David Osei and Yvonne Okyere. We starred in one of the best tv series and Bev brought out the best in me,” he wrote.

Dumelo also revealed that Beverly later helped him secure a breakthrough role that significantly boosted his career in the movie industry.

“Fast forward a year after, Bev calls and says ‘John, call Salam (movie Producer), they need someone to play the role of a King’. That’s how I got to star in the movie ‘King is Mine’ and the rest they say is History,” he shared.

The actor expressed gratitude to Beverly for her support and friendship throughout the years, adding that her impact on his life would never be forgotten.

“Thanks so much Bev for playing a significant role in my acting career. I am glad you are resting peacefully now. I will always dey 4 u….one day when I decide to write a book, your name will fill pages,” Dumelo concluded alongside a heart emoji.

Beverly Afaglo Baah’s passing has triggered an outpouring of grief across Ghana’s entertainment industry, with colleagues, fans, and loved ones remembering her contributions to film and television.
