
IF Elfsborg Secure Loan Signing of Momoh Ibrahim Kamara

Freetown, Sierra Leone – Swedish Allsvenskan side IF Elfsborg have confirmed the loan signing of Sierra Leone midfielder Momoh Ibrahim Kamara from Minnesota United FC. The agreement runs until the end of the season and includes an option to buy.
Kamara a midfielder recognized for his energy, vision, and leadership, rose to prominence as captain of Sierra Leone’s U-20 national team, where he won the Golden Boot at the 2025 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations with four goals. His performances earned him senior international caps and established him as one of Sierra Leone’s brightest young prospects.
For Elfsborg, currently competing in the upper half of the Allsvenskan under head coach Björn Hamberg, the signing strengthens their midfield while reinforcing their tradition of investing in emerging talent. The club is aiming to push for European qualification this season, and Kamara’s arrival adds depth and dynamism to their squad.
