The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) says Israel has carried out overnight strikes on Iran’s Presidential Office and the building of the Supreme National Security Council.
In a statement on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, IDF stated that it has struck Iran’s leadership compound, terming it the “regime’s most central and significant headquarters”.
The statement indicated that “Overnight (Monday), the Israeli Air Force, acting on precise intelligence, struck and dismantled facilities within the leadership compound of the Iranian terrorist regime in the heart of Tehran.”
The IDF says numerous munitions were dropped on the Presidential Office and the building of the Supreme National Security Council.
“In addition, the gathering site of the regime’s most senior forum responsible for security decision-making was targeted, as well as the institution for training Iranian military officers and additional key regime infrastructure,” it noted.
Over 740 people have reportedly been killed in Iran since Israel and the US began their attacks on the Islamic Republic on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
