Kenya’s New Envoy Presents Credentials to AU Commission Chair

 

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, today received the Letters of Credentials of the new Permanent Representative of Kenya to the AU, Amb. Galma Muke Boru.

The Chairperson noted that Amb. Boru’s extensive diplomatic experience will be a valuable asset in advancing the AU’s mandate and strengthening African multilateralism.

He thanked William Ruto, the President of Kenya for his leadership as Champion of AU reforms and commended Kenya’s longstanding role in regional diplomacy, mediation, climate leadership and regional integration, with the EAC as a model.

Amb. Boru reaffirmed Kenya’s support to AU reforms and briefed the Chairperson on his country’s preparation to Africa–France Summit in May this year to which the Chairperson is invited.
