David and Victoria Beckham have reportedly expressed they would never intentionally unfollow their son Brooklyn on social media, with sources close to the family claiming that the 26-year-old influencer has instead blocked them. The move is being interpreted as a definitive sign of “complete estrangement” just days before the Christmas holiday.
Friends of the couple described the situation as devastating, noting that the Beckhams viewed their Instagram connection as their last remaining link to their eldest son.
‘That Is It, This Is Final’
According to insiders, the fallout has been brewing for months, during which time there has been no direct communication between Brooklyn and his parents.
“So far from this being them, it appears that Brooklyn has blocked them to show them that’s it, this is final,” a source revealed. “By following him, it was a message to him that they still love him and still want to follow his life. Now they can’t do that, but it’s not their doing.”
Cruz Beckham Confirms the Block
Brooklyn’s younger brother, Cruz Beckham (20), took to Instagram on Saturday to publicly defend his parents and clarify the situation. Refuting reports that his parents had made the first move to distance themselves, Cruz stated that he had also been affected by the move.
“My mum and dad would never unfollow their son… Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I,” Cruz wrote in an Instagram Story.
A Divided Christmas
As a result of the escalating tension, Brooklyn will not join the family—including siblings Romeo, Cruz, and Harper—at their £10 million Cotswolds home for the festive season. Instead, he and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham (30), are expected to remain in the United States.
The divide extends to the rest of the household, as Nicola and the senior Beckhams no longer follow each other on the platform. The public nature of the “block” marks the most significant rupture yet in the spiraling family feud, indicating that reconciliation may not be on the immediate horizon.
