An attack allegedly carried out by terrorists on a Church in the Eruku Community of Nigeria’s Kwara State has left two people dead and another injured.
The Kwara State Police Command confirmed the attack and killings.
According to the police, the attack was carried out inside the church at about 6pm on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
A video that has since gone viral shows gunshots being fired as Christian worshippers scream and run for their lives.
A statement from the Kwara State Police Command said the Eruku police division acting in collaboration with vigilantes, responded swiftly to the attack, causing the bandits to flee into a bush.
According to the statement, “Upon thorough search of the area, one male victim; Mr Aderemi was discovered fatally shot inside the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Isegun; while one Mr Tunde Asaba Ajayi another victim of fatal gunshot was found in the bush, a vigilante, Segun Alaja sustained gunshot injuries and was immediately rushed to ECWA Hospital, Eruku, for medical treatment.”
The statement indicated that the state Commissioner of Police, CP Adekimi Ojo, commended the swift response of the police and vigilantes, he also assures the public that security agencies will not relent until these hoodlums are totally decimated.
