Voter turn out
Some 8.7 million Ivorians turned out to vote in their country’s presidential election on Saturday, October 25, 2025, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has said.

In a statement shared on its official Facebook page awhile ago, ECOWAS says the elections in Côte d’Ivoire marked “a crucial moment in the nation’s democratic life.”

The election will determine the country’s leadership for the next five years.
The poll features five candidates approved by the Constitutional Council: incumbent President Alassane Ouattara, Simone Éhivet Gbagbo, Jean-Louis Billon, Ahoua Don Mello, and Mrs. Henriette Lagou Adjoua. Voters will cast their ballots in the first of two possible rounds in this francophone West African nation.
