The body of Sommie Maduagwu, an Arise TV news anchor and former beauty queen who lost her life during a robbery at her Abuja residence in September, has been laid to rest.
Her funeral took place on Friday, October 18, at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Agulu, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State, followed by interment at her family compound.
Family members, friends, colleagues, and dignitaries, including the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, attended the solemn ceremony to pay their final respects.
