‘Shockingly Offensive’: Taylor Swift Slams Rumours She Will Quit Music After Marrying Travis Kelce

Pop icon Taylor Swift has firmly shut down “shockingly offensive” rumours suggesting she plans to retire from the music industry once she marries her fiancé, Travis Kelce.

The star, 35, addressed the speculation during a pre-recorded interview on Scott Mills’ Radio 2 Breakfast show, shortly after releasing her 12th studio album, The Life Of A Showgirl, last Friday.

Defending Her Career and Relationship

Swift was unequivocal when addressing the idea that her engagement—which occurred in August with Kelce reportedly spending up to $1,000,000 on the ring—signals the end of her professional life.

“No, this isn’t my last album, that is shockingly offensive,” Swift stated. “I’m not getting married to quit my job.”

She heaped praise on the supportive nature of the NFL star, confirming he is a major advocate for her work:

“I love the person I am with him because he loves what I do and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music. That’s the coolest thing about Travis, like he is so passionate about what he does, that me being passionate about what I do, it connects us.”

Similarities in Stadium Life

Swift highlighted the unique parallels between her Eras Tour and Kelce’s football career, noting that their mutual understanding of high-pressure, stadium-sized performance creates a deep connection.

She humorously compared their differing venues and preparation, stating: “We both do three and a half hour shows in NFL stadiums. When I do them it’s a dressing room and when he does it it’s a locker room. For him it’s practise and for me it’s rehearsal and we both have teams and we are both competitive.”

She concluded that the “most fun thing” is being able to support one another in their demanding fields.
