Ghanaian President, John Dramani Mahama, has in the company of several of his top officials including Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, paid visits to the families of the three Ghanaian military officers who died in the helicopter crash recently.
Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manin Twum-Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah, lost their lives in the crash which happened in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. The five other persons who died in the crash were Ghana’s Defence and Environment Ministers, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, Alhaji Limuna Muniru Mohammed, former parliamentary candidate Samuel Aboagye, and NDC Vice Chairman Samuel Sarpong.
President Mahama on Tuesday, August 12, visited the homes of the families of the three military personnel to commensurate with them.
Accompanying the President on the visits were Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, former Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Marietta Brew-Appiah, former Finance Minister, Seth Terkper, current Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, Sports Minister, Fiifi Kwetey, and senior military officers, among others.
