Ghana TVET Service and Trans-Sahara Industries Partner for Skills Development and Green Mobility

The Ghana Technical and Vocational Education and Training Service (Ghana TVET Service) and Trans-Sahara Industries Ltd. (TSI) have signed a strategic Memorandum of Partnership (MoP) to advance Ghana’s technical education and sustainable transport sectors. This collaboration, formalized under the Pre-Tertiary Education Act 2020 (Act 1049), aligns Ghana TVET Service’s national mandate with TSI’s vision as a leading Ghanaian micro-mobility company, addressing key challenges in industry-relevant training, modernized infrastructure, and employment pathways.

Partnership Deliverables

TSI commits to:

  1. Industry-Driven Training: Developing programs tailored to its operations in assembling bicycles, e-bikes, electric motorcycles, rickshaws, and battery charging stations.

  2. R&D Collaboration: Partnering with TVET institutions for applied research in micro-mobility and sustainable energy.

  3. Enhanced Infrastructure & Access: Providing equipment, instructional support, product discounts, and financing to strengthen TVET delivery.

  4. Employment Pathways: Creating direct job opportunities for TVET graduates within TSI’s operations and distribution network.

  5. Distribution Network Integration: Offering practical training and entrepreneurship opportunities through TSI’s network.

Ghana TVET Service will incorporate TSI’s expertise into its curricula, ensuring alignment with industry needs and fostering a globally competitive workforce.
