FBI Extradites Ghanaian To The US Over Multi-Million Dollars Romance Scam

The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has extradited a Ghanaian citizen, Joseph Badu Boateng otherwise known as “Dada Joe Remix” to America for his alleged involvement in a multi-million dollars romance scam.

 

The U.S. Embassy in Accra, the capital of Ghana, announced Dada Joe Remix’s extradition in a post on its Facebook page on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

 

According to the post, “Diplomatic Security Service special agents at U.S. Embassy Ghana worked with Ghanaian authorities to assist the FBI – Federal Bureau of Investigation in the extradition of Joseph Badu Boateng aka Dada Joe Remix.”

 

It added that “Boateng was indicted on charges of running a fraud ring that used romance and inheritance schemes to defraud U.S. victims of several million dollars.”

 

The Embassy said Dada Joe Remix “…is now in the United States to face justice.”
