Simone Inzaghi has parted ways with Inter Milan by mutual consent following a 5-0 UEFA Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain. The decision was made after a meeting between Inzaghi and the club on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. The Italian, who joined Inter in 2021, is reportedly linked with a move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.
Inzaghi shared an emotional farewell on social media, stating, “The time has come for me to say goodbye to this club after a four-year journey, during which I gave everything. I want to dedicate one last word to the millions of Nerazzurri (Inter) fans who cheered me on, cried and suffered in difficult moments and laughed and celebrated in the six triumphs we experienced together. I will never forget you.”
During his tenure at San Siro, Inzaghi secured one Serie A title, two Coppa Italia titles, and three Supercoppa Italiana titles. He led Inter to two Champions League finals, losing 1-0 to Manchester City in 2022-23 and 5-0 to PSG this season.
