PSG celebrating their Champions League triumph

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have finally won the Uefa Champions League in their club history after demolishing Italian giants, Inter Milan in this year’s final.
It’s been decades of searching for a European glory for the French club. PSG were defeated by Bayern Munich 1 – 0 in their first-ever Champions League final . In the 2020 final, Kingsley Coman, who started his career at PSG, settled a tense affair with a 59th-minute header at the far post from Joshua Kimmich’s cross.
But PSG after another five years of waiting, managed at long last to get hold of the Champions League trophy as they thrashed Inter Milan 5 – 0 on Saturday night, May 31, 2025 in the final played in Munich, Germany.
Moroccan right back, Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring in the 12 minute, with youngester Desire Doue doubling PSG lead in the 20th minute.

Doue went on to score his second and PSG’s third goal on the night in the 63rd minute, putting the match far beyond Inter’s reach.

Georgian star, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia who swapped Napoli for PSG in January this year, scored the French team’s fourth goal of the largely one-sided final in the 73rd minute.
Another PSG youngester, Senny Mayulu, who came on as a substitute in the closing stages of the match, score the game’s fifth goal in the 86th minute.
For much of the 90 minutes, Inter looked very disorganized, virtually unable to string decent passes. There was no intensity from players of the Italian team and to a larger extent, they looked a group of tired individuals aimlessly wandering the pitch.
The victory marks a historic moment for PSG – Kylian Mbappe’s former team – as they completed a continental treble after winning the French Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France.
But for Inter Milan, the result marks another heartbreak as it is the second time in the last two years that they have lost a Champions League final, having lost to English club, Manchester City 1 – 0 in the 2023 final. Inter last tasted Champions League glory in 2010 when they won Bayern Munich 2 – 0 in the final, with both goals on that glorious night for the Italian club scored by the legendary Diego Milito.
