The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has awarded $205,000 in grants to eight Liberian entrepreneurs who excelled in the Agribusiness Incubator and Development Activity Lot B Cohort Two pitching competition. This initiative, part of the USAID ‘Feed the Future’ program, aims to enhance small agribusinesses in Liberia, improving their operations and agricultural productivity.
Competition Highlights:
1. 20 agribusinesses from four counties (Montserrado, Grand Bassa, Sinoe, and Bong) participated.
2. Businesses specialized in food crop production, processing, domestic marketing, and niche farming ventures.
3. Winners received grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000.

2. *Flourish Poultry*: $10,000
3. *LoRu Agri-Business Corporation*: $10,000
4. *Patience Cocoa Inc.*: $25,000
5. *Shalom Food Production*: $25,000
6. *Faith Natural Juice*: $25,000
7. *Jimmy Snacks Kitchen Inc.*: $50,000
8. *Agro Rubber Industries*: $50,000
Entrepreneurial Impact:
1. James O. Gaygay (Patience Cocoa Inc.): “The grant will enable us to meet production demands and fulfill orders from larger companies.”
2. Akouavi Tehoungue (Jimmy Snacks Kitchen Inc.): “This grant will help us scale, return to supermarket shelves, and expand our reach to markets outside Montserrado.”
