Reports now indicate that Chelsea have made their final decision regarding the case of Trevoh Chalobah and his future in the June 2024 transfer window.
In a significant development for Chelsea FC and its fans, Trevoh Chalobah is set to leave the club in the June 2024 transfer window according to recent reports.
Despite the young defender’s efforts to stay at his boyhood club, the London team believe that the best option is for him to be let go, as they believe that they already have the depth in the centre-back and right-back positions.
Earlier this week when the team released the squad that would be travelling with them for the preseason in the US, the youngster was not included in the team, as Chelsea believed that they already have a full squad with the likes of Wesley Fofana, Axel Diasi, Tosin Adarabioyo, amongst others and it was a difficult decision for them not to include Chalobah in their preseason team.
According to Fabrizio, the London team placed a price tag of £30/35m for the young defender and three Premier League clubs have shown interest in him and have made contact with Chelsea to sign the 25-year-old.
Trevoh Chalobah joined Chelsea’s academy at the young age of 8, and he progressed steadily through the ranks, over the years, the youngster has shown versatility as well as defensive prowess on the pitch. He made his senior debut for his boyhood club in August 2021 in a Premier League game against Crystal Palace, where he scored a stunning goal, marking his arrival on the big stage.
Chalobah went on loan to several clubs before making his debut for Chelsea’s first team in August, he was on loan at Ipswich Town, Huddersfield and FC Lorient, and the loan spells helped him develop his game and prepare for the challenges of top-tier football.
Chalobah has made numerous appearances and has also contributed to the team’s successes in domestic and European competitions since he made his debut for the team, as over the years, he has been a very reliable option in defence.
