Wave Africa, a youth-focused marketing and communication agency, has clarified why Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale could not perform at the Reunion Rave Artiste event held at the University of Ghana.
According to Wave Africa in a statement dated Monday, June 10, 2024, every possible arrangement to enable Shatta Wale perform smoothly at the event had been made.
But the Agency lamented that “Saturday, 8th June 2024, during our setup and sound check, Legon campus security interrupted, saying it’s an “order from above.”
The statement added that a delegation from Wave Africa team met with the Dean of Students of the University of Ghana and was informed that “the event could proceed but without Shatta Wale’s performance at TF Hostel, though the artiste night itself was not canceled.”
