The French Football Federation has clarified that Kylian Mbappe will not undergo surgery “in the immediate future” for his broken nose.
In a statement after the Euro 2024 match between France and Austria in which Mbappe suffered a broken nose, the Federation said: “Kylian Mbappe has returned to the base camp of the French national team last night after medical tests.”
It said “Mbappe suffered broken nose during the second part of the Austria-France held this Monday in Duesseldorf.”
According to the Federation, “Kylian will receive treatment in the next few days, but he will not undergo surgery in the immediate future.”
The statement added that “A mask will be made for Mbappe so he can prepare for return available after a period dedicated to treatment.”
Mbappe, the French captain collided with Kevin Danso, leading to his nose being broken. He had played a crucial role in the only goal of the game.
