The date for the 2024 Ballon d’Or ceremony has officially been revealed.
The ceremony this year to present football’s most prestigious award, the Ballon d’Or, will be held in October.
Come Monday, October 28, the ceremony will take place at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris.
The build-up to this year’s Ballon d’Or has been gathering momentum after the date was revealed on Thursday.
Lionel Messi and Aitana Bonmati were the winners of the highly-coveted individual honours in the men’s and women’s games in 2023, but a host of players are ready to claim their first Golden Balls.
The male contenders for the 68th edition of the Ballon d’Or are Phil Foden, Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe, and Harry Kane.
The female contenders are: Aitana Bonmati, Caroline Graham Hansen, Lauren James, Kadidiatou Diani, and Alexia Putellas.
