President John Dramani Mahama began his engagements on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly with a meeting in New York on Sunday with Alex Soros, Chairman and Founder of the Open Society Foundation (OSF).
Mr Soros, an investor and philanthropist who has previously engaged with President Mahama, and his organisation are interested in exploring partnerships and providing support for ECOWAS’ integration efforts.
Sunday’s meeting was a precursor to a planned presidential roundtable engagement being coordinated by the Foundation with a select group of global foundation presidents and CEOs, including Gates, Ford, OSF, Hewlett Packard, Hilton, Rockefeller, Humanity United, Anglo American, Chandler and USB Optimus, among others.
