The Nkwanta District Police Command in Ghana has started investigations into the alleged murder of one Thomas Adon.
According to the Command in a press release issued on Monday, June 8, 2026 and signed by John Nchor, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Adon, age 36, was murdered at Keri in the Nkwanta South Municipality.
The release says “On 8/06/2026, following a report that a man had been shot and killed, a joint police-military team proceeded to the scene. The body of the deceased was found lying in a pool of blood with multiple suspected gunshot wounds.”
It says a search of the area led to the recovery of a piece of wood, 15 spent cartridges, and five BB and AA cartridges, “which have been secured as exhibits.”
According to the release, the body of Adon has been conveyed to the St. Joseph’s Hospital mortuary, for preservation and post-mortem examination, saying “investigations are ongoing to identify and arrest those responsible.”
