Former Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Savannah Regional Minister and ex-Member of Parliament for Salaga South, Salifu Braimah.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, Dr. Bawumia described the late Braimah as a dedicated stalwart of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), highlighting his significant contributions to the growth and development of the party over the years.
“I have received with sadness the news of the passing of Hon. Salifu Braimah,” Dr. Bawumia wrote, noting the late politician’s longstanding commitment to public service and party loyalty.
On behalf of himself and the NPP, the Vice President extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends, constituents of Salaga South, and members of the party in the Savannah Region.
He concluded his message with a prayer, asking that Allah grant the late Braimah eternal rest and admit him into Jannah.
The passing of Hon. Salifu Braimah marks a significant loss to both the NPP and the Savannah Region, where he was widely regarded as an influential political figure.
