Ghana’s Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested four suspected armed robbers.
According to the police in a statement dated Wednesday, January 28, 2026, the four suspects were arrested in connection with a robbery incident that occurred at Kunsu on December 7, 2025.
The statement indicated that the suspects were arrested on January 21, 2026 at about 10:00pm by personnel of the Ashanti Regional Anti-Robbery Unit, Kumasi, in collaboration with officers from the Surveillance Unit of the National Operations Directorate, Police Headquarters, Accra.
It says the arrests were made “following intelligence-led operations at Kunsu in the Ashanti Region.”
The police identified the suspects as Yahya Seidu, aged 34, Atta Israel, aged 32, Victor Gyan, aged 26, and Stanley Wiafe Akanten, aged 30.




According to the statement, a search conducted in Yahya Seidu’s room led to the recovery of two pump-action guns, three cutlasses, five mobile phones, 22 BB cartridges, and an amount of Ghc 5,400.
The statement says “One of two firearms, a Pardus shotgun, was confirmed to have been stolen during the robbery incident on 7th December 2025 along the Kunsu-Mankranso road.”
