Education Minister, Haruna Iddrisu, has supported the Ga Mantse’s Education Fund with a Ghc 100,000 donation.
The donation is to support the academic development of children and youth within the Ga State of Ghana.
Among other things, the Ga Mantse Education Fund is expected to use the donated to money to provide scholarships, learning materials, and other forms of academic support to students from poor backgrounds in the Greater Accra Region.
Mr. Iddrisu made the donation during a courtesy call on the Ga Traditional Council on Monday, January 26, 2026.
The visit formed part of Mr. Iddrisu’s engagement with traditional authorities to strengthen partnerships in advancing education across the country.
Speaking at the visit, the Minister says investing in education remains a top priority for the Ghanaian government.
He says access to quality learning opportunities is essential for national development.
According to him, traditional institutions play a critical role in mobilising communities and supporting policies aimed at improving literacy, school enrolment, and skills development, especially at the grassroots level, noting that
“This support is part of our broader effort to ensure that no child is left behind.”
