The Governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo, has announced that a large cache of weapons have been recovered from criminal hideouts in the state.
He made this known to journalists on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at the Kogi State government house in Lokoja.

According to him, the operation that led to the recovery of the weapons was the outcome of a sustained intelligence-driven surveillance by security agencies working closely with the state government.

He says following his recent meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, there has been a renewed crackdown on criminal elements in the state.
