Alleged Putin Daughter Approached by Ukrainian Journalist, Says She Is ‘Sorry’ About War

A Ukrainian journalist has confronted a young woman in Paris who has been widely identified by investigative reporters as the alleged daughter of Russian President Vladimir Putin, urging her to speak out against the war in Ukraine and use her influence to appeal for an end to the violence.

The woman, known as Luiza Rozova and identified in investigations by Russian and international media as Elizaveta Krivonogikh, is reported to be the daughter of Putin and Svetlana Krivonogikh. The Kremlin has never officially confirmed such a relationship, and Putin has not publicly acknowledged her.

The confrontation involved TSN journalist Dmytro Sviatnenko, whose brother, Volodymyr, was reportedly killed in a Russian missile strike in November. In the filmed exchange on a street in the French capital, Sviatnenko challenged Rozova about her alleged father’s role in the war and questioned how she could live comfortably in Europe while Ukrainian cities were under attack.

At the start of the interaction, Rozova objected to being filmed and said she had not given permission to be recorded. When asked if she supported Putin’s actions in Ukraine, she avoided giving a direct answer and said the situation was not something she was responsible for.

As he continued, the journalist urged her to contact Putin and ask him to stop the shelling of Ukrainian cities, pointing out that air-raid alerts were active at that very moment. Her responses suggested resignation and helplessness, as she said such a request was not realistically within her power. She added that she was “really sorry” about what was happening but could not influence the situation.

Sviatnenko went further, suggesting she travel to Ukraine as a symbolic gesture, even offering to help arrange a ticket. Rozova dismissed the idea, explaining that it was not possible for her to do so under current circumstances.

He also questioned why she had chosen to live in Paris when Russia’s leadership frequently denounces Western countries. Rozova replied that she moved to the city during her time as a student and clarified that she was originally from St. Petersburg, not Moscow.

According to the broadcast, Rozova now lives in Paris and is believed to be working with art galleries. She was reportedly seen carrying a Uniqlo shopping bag at the time of the encounter.

The moment has attracted attention across social media and news platforms, highlighting the lasting human cost of the war in Ukraine and the emotional pain experienced by families who have lost loved ones. Since Russia’s full-scale invasion began in February 2022, millions of Ukrainians have been displaced, and significant parts of the country’s infrastructure have been destroyed.
