Ghanaian Artist REMY J Teams Up with Grammy Nominee Ruby Amanfu for ‘Omoge’ Remix

Ghanaian artist, businessman, and network engineer REMY J, known in private life as Elikem Rogers Cofie, continues to make waves in the music industry with his unique blend of Highlife, R&B, and Hip-Hop.

His commitment to authenticity and emotion has positioned him as one of the fresh voices shaping Ghana’s contemporary sound. His debut album, Spirit of Balance, chronicles his personal journey, featuring standout songs such as “Chosen One,” “Mbappé,” and “BABA.”

A Transatlantic Creative Partnership

REMY J has now teamed up with Ruby Amanfu, the Ghanaian-born, Nashville-based singer, songwriter, and producer whose artistry has earned her international acclaim.

Ruby Amanfu is a major international figure, having worked with global icons including Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Jack White, and Hozier. She is also a two-time Grammy Song of the Year nominee. Her music effortlessly bridges soul, folk, pop, and Americana, all underscored by a strong sense of cultural identity and poetic depth.

The ‘Omoge’ Remix: Bridging Worlds

The two artists have joined forces for a new collaboration: a remix of the track “Omoge,” taken from REMY J’s Love Notes album.

The Omoge remix is a sonic fusion that combines REMY J’s contemporary Ghanaian Highlife rhythm with Ruby Amanfu’s timeless and genre-bending vocal style. The result is a sound that feels both nostalgically rooted and refreshingly modern.

This partnership stands as a celebration of heritage, creativity, and evolution, powerfully showcasing how Ghanaian artistry is continuing to expand its influence beyond national borders.
