Oil Money and Blood: “The Price of Palestinian Lives”

By Alpha Amadu Jalloh

The world is bathing in hypocrisy while Gaza is drowning in blood.

“The difference between the oppressed and the occupier should never be blurred” Yasser Arafat once roared and today that truth echoes louder than ever.

Palestinians are starving under the crushing weight of siege and silence. Babies are gasping their last breaths under rubble. Mothers clutch their dead children in the shadows of a world that has chosen to look away. And while Gaza burns Israel feasts on indifference.

Donald Trump is no outsider to this madness. He was the architect of arrogance the man who threw a match into the oil-soaked pages of history when he moved the US embassy to Jerusalem. He didn’t just undermine peace he spat on it and emboldened Zionist expansionism. He made war fashionable wrapped in red white and blue. Joe Biden is just the latest salesman in this industry of destruction. He signs off weapons packages with trembling hands calling it “security for Israel” while hospitals in Gaza become graveyards.

But let it be known this did not start with Biden nor Trump. This is the legacy of American power built on bones of the voiceless. Barack Obama smiled and spoke of hope while approving billions in military aid. George W. Bush painted Palestinians as terrorists while justifying Israel’s brutality. Bill Clinton sold the illusion of peace while watching settlements swallow Palestinian land. Not one American president had the courage to call genocide by its name.

The United Kingdom is no less shameful. The so-called mother of democracy is now the auntie of Zionism coddling Netanyahu’s government while preaching human rights to Africa. Britain has become a moral corpse its foreign policy embalmed in the blood of Palestinians.

“If the United Nations fails to act then it has failed humanity” and indeed the United Nations Security Council has failed. It is now just a rotting theatre of indecision controlled by the powerful for the powerful. They sprang into action in Syria against Assad but play blind deaf and dumb when it comes to Israel’s massacre of Palestinians. Russia that flexed muscles over Ukraine is a mute spectator in Gaza. Hypocrisy isn’t even the word anymore. It’s betrayal.

And what of the Arab world The so-called brothers in faith. What brother sits idle while his sister is raped and his mother is burned Alive? Saudi Arabia under Mohammed bin Salman has chosen to clink wine glasses in diplomatic halls while Palestinian blood stains the doorposts of history. This is not just cowardice it is complicity.

“In 1973 Saudi Arabia used oil as a weapon to demand respect for Arab sovereignty” Today MBS is too afraid to even raise his voice. Oil is thicker than blood for him. The UAE preaches peace while building towers of silence around Gaza. The Arab League is a cemetery of dead resolutions. You are all cowards and history will remember your betrayal.

Why can’t the Arab world show the courage of South Africa A nation still wounded by apartheid but strong enough to stand against it wherever it appears. South Africa’s decision to take Israel to the International Court of Justice was not just brave it was righteous. Bravo South Africa Bravo to every nation that has recognized Palestine Bravo to Bolivia Colombia Chile and others that have dared to stand with justice even when the price is high.

And where is the African Union Always late always apologetic always afraid. The AU offers statements of “solidarity” while watching children’s bodies pile up in Gaza. Are you so scared to speak Are you so weak to act Must you wait for the West to give you permission to grieve You claim to be the voice of the oppressed but you have lost your voice entirely.

To the European Union You danced on the corpse of Gaddafi in the name of democracy but you trembled before Netanyahu. You turned Libya into a failed state in the name of human rights but you watch Gaza burn and offer nothing but “concern.” You are cowards to every single one of you. NATO is a gang of warmongers when it suits them and ghosts when justice demands courage.

The question must be asked What makes a Jewish life more human than a Palestinian one Why must the world offer endless tears for one but not the other Why are the oppressed demonized while the oppressors glorified Why is resistance called terrorism when it’s brown and Muslim but defense when it’s white and Israeli

“Those who stand by in silence are guilty too” Gaza is not just a battlefield. It is a mirror. And the world’s reflection is hideous.

Today the children of Gaza are being starved not by nature but by design. The siege is a war crime. Hunger is man-made. The devil himself could not have engineered a more calculated genocide than what Benjamin Netanyahu has unleashed. He is no leader. He is a war criminal a butcher a plague upon both Palestinians and Israelis.

We pray not for vengeance but for justice. Not for more blood but for peace. But a peace with dignity not one written in Israeli terms and Western ink. A two-state solution not dictated by bombs and settlements but by international law and human decency.

“Peace is not the absence of war but the presence of justice”

Let this world know that Allah sees. He hears the cries from Gaza. He counts every drop of blood spilled and every tear wiped away in silence. The leaders who sign death warrants with their silence or their weapons will not escape His wrath.

The day will come when the tanks will rust the missiles will be buried and the maps will change. But the people of Palestine will remain. Because injustice cannot erase truth. And truth cannot be killed.

Long live the people of Palestine.

Down with Zionism.

And may Allah free both Israelis and Palestinians from the devils who wear the masks of leadership.

He is the best of planners. And His justice will not sleep forever.
