A popular ex-Ghanaian fetish priestess cum evangelist, Nana Agradaa, has been jailed 15 years for money doubling fraud.
Nana Agradaa, real name Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, was sentenced by an Accra Circuit Court on Thursday, July 3, 2025.
She was found guilty of luring victims through a 2022 televised broadcast in which she falsely claimed to possess spiritual powers to double money.
Following her adverts, several Ghanaians went to give her large sums of money hoping she will miraculously double them. But she never fulfilled her promises.
The Accra court’s ruling marks a significant step in Ghana’s fight against fraudulent spiritual schemes and deceptive religious practices.
Ahead of sentencing, the court had ordered that Nana Agradaa be subjected to a mandatory pregnancy test, in line with judicial procedures.
The test confirmed she was not pregnant, clearing the way for sentencing to proceed.
