Apple Music has announced its highly anticipated list of African rising stars to watch in 2025, with Nigerian sensations Fola and Kaestyle taking center stage. The two artists are part of the platform’s prestigious ‘Africa Rising’ initiative, which aims to amplify the continent’s emerging talents and offer them global exposure.
Fola and Kaestyle join a illustrious list of past alumni, including Rema, Tems, Ayra Starr, Omah Lay, and Amaarae, who have all achieved international acclaim. This year’s honorees also include Kenyan indie-soul singer Njerae, South African singer-songwriter Lusanda, Ghanaian beatmaker AratheJay, and Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer Fola.
Kaestyle earned recognition following a stellar 2024, driven by the success of his hit single “My Dealer” featuring Omah Lay. Speaking on his selection, Kaestyle expressed gratitude, saying, “It feels great to be seen; it feels like a medal for all the hard work, and it’s only going to double in 2025.”
Fola, on the other hand, made waves with his EP _What A Feeling,_ which included the commercially successful track “Alone,” featuring collaborations with Badboy OML and BNXN. Reflecting on his inclusion, Fola shared, “I am beyond grateful and excited to be selected by Apple Music for the Africa Rising Class of 2025. It’s a true privilege to be in such inspiring company alongside so many talented artists.”
The recognition by Apple Music underscores the potential of Fola and Kaestyle to follow in the footsteps of African stars who have reshaped the global music landscape. With Apple Music’s support, these rising stars are poised to take the world by storm in 2025.
