‘Die Hard 2’ Actor Art Evans Is Dead At 82

Art evans, a renowned Black American actor with a career spanning over five decades, has passed away at the age of 82. According to his representative, Evans died on saturday, december 21, due to complications from diabetes, a condition he had managed for many years.

Evans’ wife, babe, released a statement saying, “art was not only an incredible actor but a devoted husband, friend and source of light to everyone who knew him. His laughter, passion and love of life will be deeply missed. while our hearts are heavy, we celebrate the legacy of joy and inspiration he leaves behind.”

Born on march 27, 1942, in los angeles, evans began his acting career at frank silvera’s theatre of being. He made his screen debut in 1976 on an episode of “chico and the man” and went on to accumulate over 120 film and television credits throughout his career.

Evans’ notable film roles include appearances in “die hard 2,” “a soldier’s story,” “death wish,” “amazing grace,” and “tales from the hood.” his television credits include roles on “m_a_s*h,” “the x-files,” “doogie howser, m.d.,” “mad about you,” and “hill street blues.”
