Zurich, Switzerland – December 10, 2024 – In a shocking turn of events, Lionel Messi was omitted from the FIFPRO Men’s World11, as Jude Bellingham and Real Madrid dominated the annual awards ceremony.
The FIFPRO awards, which recognize the best players, coaches, and teams in the world, saw Bellingham, the 21-year-old Real Madrid midfielder, take home the Men’s Young Player of the Year award.

Real Madrid’s dominance was evident throughout the ceremony, with the Spanish giants claiming a total of four awards. In addition to Bellingham’s Young Player of the Year award, Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois was named the Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year, while Carlo Ancelotti took home the Men’s Coach of the Year award.
The Men’s World11, which is voted on by thousands of professional footballers from around the world, saw a number of surprises, including the omission of Messi.
