Presidential candidate aspirant of Ghana’s main opposition, New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has announced the death of, Isaac Owusu, one of his campaign team member.
Isaac Owusu, also known as Akwagya, was a former Asunafo South Constituency Officer of the NPP.
He was also a member of Bawumia’s campaign team in the Ahafo Region.
In a post sighted by Africa Publicity on his Facebook page on Thursday evening, November 13, 2025, Dr. Bawumia said “I have received with sadness the passing of Mr. Isaac Owusu, also known as Akwagya, a former Asunafo South Constituency Officer and a member of my campaign team in the Ahafo Region.”
The former Vice President of Ghana says “I extend my sincerest sympathies to his family and Ahafo NPP. May Akwagya’s soul rest in peace.”
