Ghana Appeals To Medical Laboratory Workers Not To Go On Strike, Says They Should Return To Negotiation Table

Ghana’s Ministry of Health has appealed to the leadership of the Medical Laboratory Professional Workers’ Union (MELPWU) to reconsider its decision to embark on strike.

The Ministry in a statement dated Monday, June 17, 2024, urged MELPWU to return to the negotiation table with the Ghanaian Government’s negotiation team, which it said included the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, and the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission.
