Nigerian singer 2Baba and his former wife, Annie Macaulay Idibia, have rekindled online interactions after following each other on Instagram more than a year after the end of their marriage.
The development saw Annie follow the award-winning musician’s official Instagram account, with 2Baba also following her back.
At the same time, the singer and his wife, Natasha Osawaru, no longer appear to follow each other on the platform.
2Baba and Annie were married in May 2012 and are parents to two daughters, Isabella and Olivia. News of their separation emerged in January 2025 after the singer publicly announced the breakdown of their marriage, ending a relationship that lasted over a decade.
Months later, 2Baba confirmed he was in a relationship with Osawaru. He proposed to the Edo State lawmaker in February 2025 before the pair tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony in July of the same year.
Since making their relationship public, 2Baba has repeatedly rejected claims that Osawaru played any role in the collapse of his marriage to Annie.
The latest social media activity comes shortly after reports surfaced of an alleged disagreement involving 2Baba and Osawaru during the opening of a lounge in Abuja.
According to a social media post, Osawaru reportedly confronted the singer at the event after waiting several hours to speak with him. The claim alleged that the encounter disrupted proceedings at the venue, although neither 2Baba nor Osawaru has publicly commented on the reports.
