The Finance Minister of Qatar, Ali Ahmed al-Kuwari, has warned that the world will soon start experiencing energy shortage problem.
According to him, aside the
problem of “energy availability,” the global economy is about to feel the full economic impact of the Iran war.
Al-Kuwari made this known while speaking at an International Monetary Fund (IMF) discussion in Washington.
He described the recent rise in global prices as just the “tip of the iceberg”, warning that “A full-fledged impact is coming, and it is not far away.”
According to him, in a month or two a “huge economic impact” will be felt globally.
He says “Very soon you are going to have a problem of energy availability not just prices. So even if you can afford to pay you are not going to be able to source, which is a major, major problem.”
