Members of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), a rebel group, have killed at least 43 persons in their latest bloody attacks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The DR Congo army announced the killings said to have been carried out in the northeastern part of the country.
Congo’s northeast regional army spokesperson, Lieutenant Jules Tshikudi Ngongo, announced on Thursday, April 2, 2026 that at least “43 compatriots were killed and 44 houses torched” during the attack on Wednesday in Bafwakoa, located in Mambasa territory of the Ituri province.
