President Donald Trump has sacked US Attorney-General, Pam Bondi.
He announced Bondi’s dismissal in a Truth Social post on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
In his post, Trump described Bondi as a “Great American Patriot and a loyal friend.
He said Bondi will move to a job in the private sector.
According to President Trump, Deputy Attorney-General, Todd Blanche, who is his ex-personal lawyer, will take over as Attorney-General and lead the Justice Department in the interim.
