A state funeral is being held today in Accra in honor of late former First Lady of Ghana, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.
The burial service is taking place at the Independence Square in Accra.
Attending the funeral are government officials, political figures, members of the diplomatic corps, traditional leaders, and the general public.
The former First Lady, Nana Konadu was the wife of late former President Jerry John Rawlings. She died at the Ridge hospital in Accra in October 2025.
Her state funeral started around 8:00am. On Wednesday, a requiem mass was held for her at the Accra Ridge Church, where her family members, friends and dignitaries offered tributes.
