President Bola Tinubu received Anders Holch Povlsen, Denmark’s richest businessman and Chief Executive Officer of Bestseller, at the State House in Abuja on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
The high-profile engagement, announced by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, is part of the administration’s broader push to attract foreign investments and enhance economic collaboration between Nigeria and Denmark.
Details of the State House Visit
Povlsen, who also leads the philanthropic Bestseller Foundation, was accompanied to the meeting by Denmark’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Jens Hansen, and other senior Danish officials.
Present from the Nigerian side were the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, and the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani.
According to Onanuga’s statement, the meeting underscores the Tinubu administration’s ongoing efforts to deepen global partnerships and attract more Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into the Nigerian economy.
