Ghanaian President, John Dramani Mahama, has reaffirmed his commitment to religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence in Ghana.
He was speaking on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at the Jubilee House where he received a delegation from the Conference of Regional Chief Imams of Ghana.
He reminded the Muslim clerics that “Ghana is a nation of diverse religions, and one of the things our constitution guarantees is the freedom of religion, freedom to worship, and freedom to express one’s religious identity.”
The Regional Chief Imams expressed their sincere appreciation for the President’s dedication, including the additional holiday for Eid al-Fitr and his vision for improving the Muslim Ummah.
