President John Dramani Mahama has indicated that his administration has made the highest budget allocation in the history of Ghana’s Free Senior High School (SHS) program.
He made the claim in his first media encounter from the Jubilee House in Accra on Wednesday night, September 10, 20w5. The President addressed journalists from across the country and international media outlets including, Radio France International, among others.
According to him, “Contrary to the widespread misinformation that was circulated before December 7, 2024, the Free SHS has not only been maintained.”
He added “We have made the highest budget allocation in the history of the policy as of now.”
President disclosed that an amount of Ghc 3.5 billion has been dedicated to the Free SHS program in 2025.
