Wizkid Opens Up About Jada P and Newborn Daughter Morayo at Hollywood Bowl

Nigerian Afrobeats star Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has stirred emotions online after publicly speaking about his partner Jada P and their newborn daughter, Morayo.

The singer shared heartfelt words about his growing family during his recent performance at the 2025 KCRW Festival at the Hollywood Bowl on June 22, 2025.

It will be recalled that in late 2024, reports surfaced confirming that Wizkid and his longtime partner, Jada P, had welcomed a baby girl. While Jada P first teased a glimpse of their daughter in March 2025 through a photo showing only the child’s pink shawl and tiny stocking-covered feet, the couple has kept details about their baby relatively private.

On stage in Los Angeles, however, Wizkid expressed deep appreciation for Jada P, telling the crowd she had given him a daughter who bore an uncanny resemblance to his late mother. “She gave me a daughter that looks exactly just like my mum mother,” the Essence crooner singer said, earning applause from fans. He added that the birth of his daughter had brought overwhelming love into his home and heart, a love he was eager to share with the audience.

The proud father also made headlines earlier this year when he appeared at the Wizkid: Long Live Lagos documentary premiere at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival in New York in June 2023. Attending with Jada P and their daughter, Wizkid embraced fatherhood openly on the red carpet. A now-viral video captured the moment when he lovingly took Morayo from Jada P’s arms, cradling his daughter while interacting with fans and the press.

Wizkid’s public show of love and affection and for his growing family moments have sparked warmth among fans, who continue to celebrate the singer’s personal milestones alongside his global music achievements.
