Ghana Confirms 9 New Mpox Cases, Increasing Tally To 107

At least nine new cases of the deadly Mpox disease have been recorded in Ghana.

The Ghana Health Service
(GHS) announced the nine new cases, saying Ghana’s total Mpox case count now stands at 107.

According to GHS, there have been no new deaths and no active hospital admissions related to Mpox.

GHS continues to urge the public to practice good hygiene, including frequent handwashing, and to avoid close contact with individuals exhibiting symptoms.

The Health Service is also actively conducting contact tracing to identify and isolate potential cases to prevent further spread.

The GHS is also increasing surveillance and community education efforts.
