Nigerian Afrobeats pioneer Mr Eazi has kicked off 2025 with the release of his latest solo single, “Love Me Now”, marking a heartfelt evolution in his sound and artistic narrative. Following the success of his debut 2023 album The Evil Genius and 2024’s infectious Panadol, this new release offers fans a more vulnerable, introspective side of the genre-bending artist.
Produced by P. Priime, Love Me Now is a slow-burning Afrobeats track laced with soulful synths, layered percussion, and Eazi’s signature laid-back vocal delivery. The song explores themes of love, emotional exposure, and the regrets of past relationships, grounding its emotion in the artist’s unique Banku music style—a hybrid of Ghanaian Pidgin and Nigerian melodies.
“This one comes from the heart,” Eazi shared in a recent statement. “It’s about owning up to mistakes, asking for another chance, and being honest in the messiness of love.“
A New Chapter Rooted in Legacy
While Love Me Now marks his return to solo work, it also signals the beginning of a prolific period. Mr Eazi is reportedly preparing multiple singles and an EP before the end of 2025. The track serves as a bridge between his introspective storytelling and his undeniable knack for global crossover appeal—an ability proven in past collaborations with Beyoncé, J Balvin, Bad Bunny, and Nicki Minaj.
Beyond music, Mr Eazi continues to invest in Africa’s next wave of stars through emPawa Africa, his talent incubator praised by CNN and Forbes for empowering artists like Joeboy and Major League DJz.
“Love Me Now” is a reminder of Mr Eazi’s versatility—a song rooted in emotional truth, set against a danceable rhythm, and delivered with the sincerity that has become his trademark. As 2025 unfolds, all signs point to an artist entering one of the most creatively fulfilling phases of his career.
