In a thrilling finale that aired on Saturday, 4 January, on S3, KwaZulu-Natal-born style icon and content creator Seth Shezi emerged victorious as the winner of Celebrity MasterChef South Africa.
The culinary champion walked away with the coveted title and an impressive R1 million prize. Notably, R500,000 of the winnings will be donated to charity, with an additional R20,000 already secured for Ladles of Love, an NGO dedicated to providing healthy meals to vulnerable communities.
Shezi defeated fierce competitor Dineo Ranaka in the final showdown, showcasing exceptional culinary skills and creativity. Reflecting on his journey, Seth shared: “Now my life has changed. I have no words. It’s wild. It’s been more than just a cooking competition—it’s been a test of passion, perseverance, and creativity.”
From surviving tough cook-offs alongside contestants like Armand Aucamp and Ayanda G. Thabethe to receiving praise from judges Justine Drake, Chef Katlego Mlambo, and Zola Nene, Seth’s dedication and talent shone throughout the competition. His win underscores the transformative power of food and storytelling, both in the kitchen and in life.
