Tanzanian multi-instrumentalist Abigail Chams Named East Africa Outstanding Youth Female Musician

Abigail Chamungwana popularly known in showbiz as  Abigail Chams, has been adjudged East Africa’s outstanding youth female musician.

The Tanzanian multi-instrumentalist won the coveted award at the East Africa Youth Awards 2023.

The East Africa Youth Awards seeks to honor young people who are contributing meaningfully to the progress and development of societies in East Africa.

Abigail Chams – born into a musical family – has established herself as a household name in Tanzania’s music industry.

Since emerging onto the East African music scene, she collaborated with a number of top Tanzanian musicians including Harmonize and Rayvanny.

Abigail has equally collaborated with a number of international artistes including Jekalyn Carr. She was signed to Sony Music Africa in 2022.
